Describe what you can see
Start with ordinary language: animal type, colour, size, hands, face shape, accessories and other visible details.
Found a Sylvanian but don’t know what it is? IndexFound is being built to help identify loose figures, accessories, buildings, sets and variants from the physical details you can actually see.
What we’re building
No catalogue number should be required. No specialist terminology should be required. The aim is to turn visible clues into a researched identification without pretending uncertainty does not exist.
Start with ordinary language: animal type, colour, size, hands, face shape, accessories and other visible details.
IndexFound is being built around object-first evidence, confusable boundaries and an explicit willingness to stop when the evidence runs out.
Families, figures, buildings, accessories, sets and variants will sit inside a structured research index rather than a flat list of guesses.
Depth before breadth
Rather than launch a thin identification tool and fill the gaps with guesses, we’re expanding the research foundation first. Public access will open when the coverage feels useful, coherent and worthy of collectors’ trust.
